Anyone know of a blueprint shop that has a machine capable of handling a 36-inch plan

Yes, I know, an awful lot of us are under some sort of lockdown due to CORVID-19.

However, I've recently acquired a semi-kit and a scanned copy of the planset for the kit.

Bad news is that the planset is 36 inches wide. This means that most of the blueprint machines currently in use are too small to print off the plans full-size,

Does anyone know of a GTA shop that has the older Xerox blueprint copier that can handle a 36-inch width?

Right now, I know that it's not likely for my to make the run. This will have to wait until everything opens up again.

Bruce try contacting MC Reproductions in Mississauga. They are on Timken Rd just north of Ellington.

I use Staples for most of mine. Check online in the engineering prints section. Just had them do a wooden clock template for me that was 39 inches

Much closer to you would be eCopy n Print in Newmarket, located in a small plaza on the northwest corner of Davis Drive and Leslie (the outdoor corner sign is topped with Rogers signage), tel. 905 853 2679.

Last year when I had some model airplane plans that were on a memory stick and some color photos copied, I saw lots of 36" wide rolls of drawings they were working on.
One day service, good prices.

Stores with seperate entrances are permitted to open to the public as of tomorrow. Perhaps you won't have to wait that long. Let us know how it goes, as I too have some drawings I would like to copy

Re: Anyone know of a blueprint shop that has a machine capable of handling a 36-inch

Thanks, everyone! I also need to remember where in Richmond Hill off of Leslie Street south of Major Mack, where there was a repro/blueprint shop that I had good results with (not only the quality of the prints made, but also getting questions about model aviation)

Of course, with the 'stay at home" orders still in place and closures extended for another two weeks, any one else who knows of shops that I could add to my list to visit/call is certainly welcome!

Re: Anyone know of a blueprint shop that has a machine capable of handling a 36-inch

Finally had my braincells fire off when I tried checking on Google Maps: Reprodux, 16 Sims Crescent Unit 1, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 2P1

Going to give them a call tomorrow and see if they can handle 36-inch TIF images. First copy is pricey but the second and subsequent copies are cheaper.

Some things being opened tomorrow does not mean EVERYTHING (emphasis only) is open. Also, no knowledge of restrictions on walk-in sales. Better to call first and see what can be done.

Bruce couldn't you email the file then do curbside pickup once drawing ready?

That's what I was thinking of, Jim, but just need to see what their operating hours are and if they do have a wide printer than can handle the drawings and how to work things. Didn't have time today and not super-urgent at the moment.

Oh well, 204 days to go.
