Kadet Senior COG - oops

My sig building plans were so cut up and abused that I foolishly threw them out after finishing the plane. That was an OOPS on my part as the COG was shown on the fuselage portion of the plans. The building manual says to refer to the plans for the COG. I tried to balance the beast and found that at 4 1/2" from the leading edge the plane was a bit tail heavy. At 5 1/4" from the LE it was a bit nose heavy. At 4 3/4" from the leading edge it was level plus it was in the centre of the main spar. Sounds good but I don't know where the COG is supposed to be. With all the mods I've done to this poor kit it's possible that the recommended COG will not be valid? I loaded everything into the plane as if it was going to flown. Could someone help me out here. TIA

Re: Kadet Senior COG - oops

If it is like the LT the cg should be at the rear edge of the main spar and you will have 3/8" forward or aft of that mark to play with.

Gratefully received thank you Chancey. It looks like I'm in the ball park which is a relief.

When in doubt, go 25% back from the LE, and adjust from there after a few flights!! Or, the spar, as on a flat bottom airfoil the spar will generally be the highest point of the airfoil, which is, in a ballpark, about where it ought to be....generally, in a ballpark
