Re: 450 size heli wanted

I have a Trex 500 or is it too big. I have lots of spare parts. Right now I do not have the time to assemble it.

Re: 450 size heli wanted

I think it may too big for the batteries I have on hand. I have a bunch of three cell batteries I want to use. I must say the 500 was my favourite size heli.

Re: 450 size heli wanted

I have an SE V2, belt drive tail, fully assembled sans gyro. This was my regular flying machine and taught me a lot. Used EXI 450 bits to start. Used longer pipes to support in grass. Has F/G main blades and C/F tail.

Has HS-65 servos on the main and a Futaba 9650 on the tail. The gyro was removed from the custom mount below the tail boom as this was to be installed in an MD 500 fuselage, (I flew full size) and that would have had to go. All flights were with a Futaba 401, (NOT a clone!) but also have a choice of Logitech LTS 2100T if preferred.

Built with a Jason Krause custom Hacker Hacker A20 6XL motor. Cannot remember the pinion, but think it was a hardened 17T. Grew to love the power and reliability and a second machine has the same setup.

I customized this along the way with a separate BEC and a battery alarm with lights and Sonalert to advise if battery was near limit.

I am getting out of smaller helis and soon will be listing some other frames and LOTS of spares.

PM if interested and will try and figure out price and getting it to you. Also, let me know if want to see more pics or other frames.

ps. Where are you located?

Re: 450 size heli wanted

Very impressive Gary. I live in the Vancouver B.C. area. I'm not hard core like you guys I mainly like to fly a little on my own. Right now I'm making a four blade fly barred head for 450 size mainly due to cost of parts. My go to was always Hobby King because they were cheap and I could always make them work for me. I have a lathe and milling machine that I like to tinker around with so I'm combining the best of both worlds here. PM me please Gary and tell me what you are looking for money wise.
