If anyone wants to try this, the plans were published years back in the MAAC magazine but are available here:

http://www.balsabeavers.com/informat...ans/manwin.pdf

Cox engines are all over the place used, but are still available (and parts) from

https://coxengines.ca/

We're on the same page there - this is what I've said for years. Sometimes these simple models return so much good old plain fun for the investment that it can surprise you - I experience the same thing all the time. I get an incredible amount of satisfaction and enjoyment from heading out in the calm late evening with a catapult glider and firing it up time and again until dark, trying to get another second or two out of it, or just tripping on silent free flight. It is equally as rewarding as a good flight on my 33% CAP or some ripping RC speed plane.. with no stress to boot, unless I park it in a tree (again) but that hardly keeps me up at night. I have four 1/2 ukies ready to go now, I put more time into those than any of my RC models this winter.

For sure. One of my favourite exciting memories was getting a really good ROG flight with the last Sig Tiger I built.

Two thumbs up for making us all feel like humans again, you’re outside, fresh air, kids, wife and flying model airplanes!

I must have joined MAAC just after you! Only 185 people in between us.

Neat, I wonder how many of the 185 people between us are still in this great hobby? A lot has changed over the years but the fun and excitement of flying model airplanes has remained for you and I. All the best!!
