Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Bump/reminder, our COGG handlaunch contest is coming up in just a little under 2 weeks, on Saturday, June 10th. Hoping to see some new faces, even just to watch or hang out. If you have a glider of any kind you're trying to get trimmed out, please stop by and we'll get you set up and in the air.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Hello, I'm learning a little more about DLG or HLG gliders. I used to have lots of fun with my tiny fling. I notice that somebody here build and sell DLGs? I was trying to get one of those but they are crazy expensive. looking forward to join this sport (yes I think is a sport since there is some physical thing involved on the launching)
Happy flights! |

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
I have an Alula from dream flight, It is hard to set, but it flies very nice. Looking forward to test it at low altitude, because I used to fly it at 6000 feet ASL, don't know if now that I live at 1000 will be any difference.

The snow there must be deep still. We are flying in the Lower mainland [Vancouver] area now, or when the rain lets us. There is a small group of us here that get to gather and compete. If you are in the area and want to know what is happening here, you can check us out on RCG under Hand Launch: The British Columbian DLG scene. |

I've owned the fiberglass version for a couple years now. It's a great glider to get into DLG with. You are limited with a 1m compared to a 1.5m but it's a great place to start out to see if you like DLG. Buying used is another good way to get a decent glider without dropping $1000+ |

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Is it possible to convert a Fling to HLG or DLG? Super light little glider meant go be high started with a very light rubber.

Looks like I might be catching the DLG bug.
I don't have much time anymore for anything so im hoping that I can wip off a few flights at a local park while the kids are playing every now and then. I bought Malibu off of Alex and its on its way. I'm planning to use the Emax 9051 servos, striped down Spektrum AR410 with a 600 Mah lion battery. Everything is on its way just hope I find the time to build it. |

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
dlg's are exceptionally convenient to fly at a local park. Hooking on to a thermal is the payoff.
