You'll make people jealous with the range you get.. LOL

The important telemetry to view is the VFR (Valid Frame Rate) instead of RSSI, it's the amount of good data packets the receiver gets.

Re: Tandem x20

I only flew spektrum before and once i played with the X20s a bit it was not too bad. I used some youtube videos as guidance for updates and stuff but it really is not that difficult.

Yes those are the videos i have used, He is great at showing the features of this radio and making it so anyone can understand. I updated to 17 the other day already. You should watch the one on making custom sound packs and play around with that I have some pretty funny ones that I played around with as well and using actual music set to switches was fun to play with.

Now I'm just waiting for the new TD receivers to show up so I can order a couple of them to try out. I love the true dual redundancy signal of using 2 different frequencies. Using the TD18 with a TD MX should make an almost bullet proof set up. And when I crash wont be able to blame it on anythig but my dumb thumbs!!!!

I'm waiting for them as well! I am all ready flying with 2.4 rx and 900 rx, I flew with this all summer and had no worries about range! Also find FrSky ETHOS very easy to use. Really like all that can be done with it. Anything I could think of I could do with ETHOS. And if I can't figure it out there is always help ( right Joe!?!?)

And hey, if you crash you should always blame the radio! No matter what you fly with you should always blame the radio!

Re: Tandem x20

Can we turn this thread into a question and answer forum? I really like my new x20s and with some help from Rick I have figured out a lot of it.

What I can’t figure ot is;

1) On my old JR transmitters I have always used a side slider to adjust engine idle. Full down is a very slow idle for landing while full up is a few hundred more RPM’s which is a more reliable idle for the rest of the flight. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to set up the left side slider to do this. Rick uses a switch but I want to use a slider.

2) When I put my flaps down for landing, how do I mix in a little down elevator?

3) All the new terms...can we start a glossary of all the weird Frysky terms and acronyms? I’d love to be able to post on a thread a word or acronym which an expert could define.

Thanks guys.

There are many ways in Ethos you can do that:
1) You can add a free mix, assign it to your throttle setting, and reduce the "Weight = Throw" to suit your needs and assign to any switch, slider or knob you see fit.

2) When I put my flaps down for landing, how do I mix in a little down elevator?

Add a mix in the MIx Section and select Flap to Elevator, then modify the contents to add as much or as little down as you want. In that same Mix you can use any switch.

3) All the new terms...can we start a glossary of all the weird Frysky terms and acronyms? Iíd love to be able to post on a thread a word or acronym which an expert could define.

Why don't you start by listing out what you can't figure out and I"ll add some definitions.

But there is a full manual available for fee which you can read right from your IPAD:

Re: Tandem x20

Can I pull a side slider knob off and turn it 180* so the little handle points down? I’d like to change the momentary switch to a 2 position switch and one of the 3 position switches to a 2 position. Can I buy the switches from you Joe?
