I made the rudder push/pull control horn from some 1mm CF sheet. Iíll epoxy it into the rudder after the plane is covered and then drill 2 or three vertical holes up from the bottom of the rudder through the control horn. Iíll glue some dowels in there to pin everything together

Re: Kam Aero Extra 300KK

A few goodies arrived this week! The first picture is a DA200 cooling shroud made by that master builder Henry Piorun. This bolts down to the baffle plates and creates a sealed ďtunnelĒ for the incoming air. It has no place to go but straight down over the cylinder heads. I have always run these shrouds and have never had an overheating problem. I also received a snazzy carbon fibre tailwheel unit from White Rose Engineering to match the beautiful aluminum wheels and titanium axles. I used some patterns that I had from previous builds and made the baffle plates from 1/8Ē liteply. Iíll glue in some mounting blocks and fasten it in place with 3/8Ē 2-56 Allen head bolts and blind nuts.

Re: Kam Aero Extra 300KK

I havenít posted in a few days but I have been busy... I may add a little checkerboard accents out near the tip but this is the base colour scheme for the horizontal stabs and wings.
