Been working on Don Smith 99" P-61 Black Widow this season ........ and the work continues, but will need to start something new soon, something smaller,
..... always need one or two or 7 projects on the go.

If you're into Facebook and interested in this project, I've been documenting all my builds the last few years on "Westside Warbirds" or "RC Scratch Builders" groups under Buz Sharpy.

I won't friend anyone in effort to keep the "noise to a minimum" ...... that, and most would rather not see my therapeutic political rantings "noising up" their pages so don't feel slighted.

Re: Anybody building while stuck at home?

That will be a nice one when it's finished.

Re: Anybody building while stuck at home?

I had pieces of steel and aluminium stashed all over the shop. Since I had all this time on my hands I decided to make a rack that would be big enough but narrow enough to fit between one of my building tables and the lathe. I'm pleased with the results.

The following pictures show how little space I have left in the garage and moving it into place. I can slide it out one side or the other to access the materials located in the rack. One of the pictures is from the front of the lathe showing where all my metal supplies are now stored instead of all around the shop.

Re: Anybody building while stuck at home?

I finally finished the installation of a DLE 20 into my KMP Zero.

Its been ages since I flew it last. It used to have a very thirsty YS120 in it.

This evening I ran it up for the first time.

Re: Anybody building while stuck at home?

I’d be spending time in my shop anyways but now I can do it without feeling guilty that I should be out doing something else. I am actually enjoying myself!

Re: Anybody building while stuck at home?

Just doing "Annual Inspections" on the fleet, and a few repairs. and I swapped out the electron burner for a fire breathing old fashioned 4 stroke glow motor on the Pawnee
