Re: "New to Me" --- Yak - 55M
Up date on my Yak - 55M
Doing some maintenance on the Yak , to ensure all is good for summer of 2121 Some things I found --- need some attention ![]() -- Cowl ply ring needed to be fixed in two places -- glue let go -- Land gear loose and broke left side of Fuse. repaired and recovered -- our grass field is a little bumpy -- 2 magnets replaced on the Fuse. --- that helps to hold canopy on -- new plugs and carb fuel screen -- new prop --- painted strips on it Have put it away now for the winter --- should now have a trouble free summer of flying my 3DHS Yak - 55M again ![]() Ray ![]() Last edited by 19672008; 01-19-2021 at 04:57 PM. |

Re: "New to Me" --- Yak - 55M
Looking better than new again. I cannot remember what year it was when I first seen this plane fly in GP but it was awhile back now. It is great to see that it is still flying and still looking like new.

Re: "New to Me" --- Yak - 55M
Dennis -- I got the Yak from Jack in 2016 , it only had a few flights on it then , one of the best planes I have ever had , keeping it in good shape as it is my go to plane for fun . I put around 50 flights on it each year ---2021 will be the 6th year of flying it

Congrats on all the success you've had with it. Beatitiful Yak!
Im watching the series Air Dogs on Amazon Prime right now, and they feature a Yak 55 in one of the season 1 episodes
