When I was at Toledo, I was talking to the RC Combat guy, and he was saying that they are using the plastic insulator tubes for electric fences. He replaces the aluminum U channel with it. I found it at TSC here in Canada for $6 for a 4 ft. section. http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pro...r?cm_vc=-10005 Weighs 10.3 oz, a bit lighter than a tapered downspout which is 7 oz for a 2 ft fuselage. It seems much stiffer than a U channel, and servo holes can be cut out to reduce the weight a bit more. It measures 1.480" X 1.050" outside. It is only in black and is called Poly Splicer, multi groove. $6 , from $9.59. for now. Just thought I would mention it, as the downspout is a bit hard to find sometimes, although Home Hardware seems to carry it here.
