Northern Lights Model Boat Club - Ontario
Are you interested in radio controlled model boats and live in Ontario?
The NORTHERN LIGHTS MODEL BOAT CLUB (NLMBC) is a group of 40 members ranging in ages from 8 to 80 who all share the same interest in this fun hobby. Our club objective is, ''To foster friendship, comradery and personal enjoyment while promoting the sport of radio controlled model boating''. NLMBC has been a sanctioned INTERNATIONAL MODEL POWER BOAT ASSOCIATION (IMPBA) club since 2002. We hold monthly meetings from Nov. to Apr. in Port Credit, ON and when the weather is nice, we meet most weekends at our club ponds which are located in Alliston and Beamsville. Members are from all over Southern Ontario and we run Nitro, Gas & Fast Electric boats with speeds ranging from 30 mph to 100 mph. The Northern Lights MBC is pleased to announce a new venue for our 5th annual "Northern Lights Open".
Fifty Point Conservation Area, Stoney Creek (Hamilton), Ontario Includes a beach on Lake Ontario, stocked fishing and nice restaurant all within 1/2 hr. of dowtown Toronto and Niagara Falls! http://www.conservationhamilton.ca/f...servation-area All classes for Nitro, Gas and Electric. Kids under 17 free: "run what you brung". Open water Friday noon 'til 5 pm. Driver's meeting Saturday 8:45am. Internal stinger + after muffler or muffled pipe required. Trophies top 3 per class, huge raffle, 50-50 draw. "Oneida Cup" awarded to high point any two boats. Entry fee to park: $9/vehicle/day + $5 each additional occupant. NLMBC has been around over 18 years and currently has 33 club members. We run our gas/electric/nitro boats at ponds in Aliston and Brantford.
