I just checked out the Synergy website https://synergyrchelicopters.com/
It looks like they are starting to get parts in stock. No kits yet but I see this as good news.

Hmm sad to hear parts are in short supply, how have you synergy owners found it getting synergy parts in general over the years?

Thinking about doing a 550-600 size build sometime in the next year or 2, was leaning towards either Oxy or Synergy.

According to my source in the USA, Synergy is working on finding a new manufacturing facility after accusations the previous manufacturer of their CNC parts started selling the Synergy 516 parts to Tron for the Tron 5.5, the 2 machines are very similar.

Re: Synergy Helicopters still in business?

Matt has a new place but it is not fully operational yet. As to the Tron, it is not a copy nor are the parts from Matt's design table. The prototype had some modified parts so that the developers of the Tron could see what their finished product would look like. That was a very poor business decision they made. The one owner of the company that makes the Tron parts and used to make parts for Matt, is one nasty piece of human flesh and that comes from his other two minority partners. There is little chance of ever getting him to stop selling the 516 copy to Chinese customers short of him dropping dead. This story was hashed and re-hashed many times on Helifreak and there are many quoted FB pages and text messages to fill in the story. Matt is completely over this and is moving forward but not at the speed that everyone thinks he should. Personally, I have met him a couple of times at IRCHA and maybe at one other fly-in and he seems to be a good standup guy, but he will bring his line back when he has it all working perfectly. I don't own one and, as I have too many makes already, I don't think one of his will be on my short list for my UH1-B when I get around to getting a set of mechanics for it. Hope this helps.

Don

Re: Synergy Helicopters still in business?

Good wright up don, pretty much nailed it, On a note, there are several parts interchangeable with the 516, are they copies of matts design??? guess we will never know unless that "one nasty piece of human flesh" admits to it on his death bed.
Would I purchase one?, not a chance, why fuel the fire to someone trying to burn down the foundation that kept them going?
Also hope I don't come across any NA HBS that sold synergy bring in the tron, my purchases with them would end right there.

Agree it is taking longer than it should, but we need to look at the big picture, It's all coming out of matt's pocket now, not profit from our purchases.

Hey Don will let you fly anyone of mine..... you will fall straight in love
