I have a Phantom 2 that has been sitting for a year and now the motors wont start. I push the two levers to the bottom center and the red light flashes rapidly but the motors wont turn.I have GPS lock because only the green light is flashing be fore I try the motors. The compass has been calibrated. The battery is fully charged and all the green lights are on.The drone worked good when I last used it. Can someone tell me what might be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a screen to monitor the status of the drone?

Evert time my "motors wont start" is because I have been locked out due to an upgrade requirement or I have to log back in to the software. The logging in requires a wifi or data connection.

This can be very frustrating when you are in the middle of no-where, ready to make a scenery flight, and you cant get your drone to operate because you cant log onto the system.

May be a silly question, but did you put the controllers sticks in to the correct position down and in to activate the motors?

Yes. As soon as the motors start, move the left stick to the neutral (middle) position to keep the motors running, otherwise they will stop.
