Esc go poof
Alrigh i almost had a fire in my lap yesterday and i have no idea why.

What i used;
Wp-1040-brushed esc,
Smc 7.4v 7200mah 60c 120b lipo battery,
Futaba T2PH 900mh tx/rx,
Colbalt 2 modified motor

What i did;
i plug in everything, i checked that everything was connected right because earlier that day i changed all endsnto traxxas so i made sure all wires lead to where they were suppose to. I turned it on and eased on the throttle.

End result;
Motor sparked like it should. Then a sizzling nosie followed by e loud pops and then the smoke poured out so thick andfast. I couldnt see anything anywhere. I reached for the batteru and couldnt find it the smoke was so thick and i was sitting right next to the back door whick i had fully opened. Finally i found the bagger and ripped it off and threw the esc out the door and checked quickly for signs of damage to the battery and it looks ok but its a hard case.

Questions;
What went wrong? Should the battery be ok? I have another wp-1040-brushed can i use it with the battery again as ive done 100 times before?
