Re: Tamjets Struts

Airbourne:
I tried for many months to find Tamjets Struts on RCCanada. They are exceedingly rare!
Finally, I gave up and got mine from Bajahobbyusa.com
They still have them. You need to get the struts and the matching metal trunions.
Here's the link:
https://bajahobbyusa.com/photo?olsPa...cts-set&page=2

I had to add a shim to mine so that they would be straight, otherwise the wheels didn't fit in the wells. Of course, you have to rework the Habu to fit them. But they work well.

I just flew my Habu last week for the first time. I reached 185 MPH according to my GPS. It is an awesome plane!

Good luck!

Pierre

Your 32x looks great, 185mph is incredible on one of these. I have one on Jetfan 1400kv 10cell, but can only get 145mph!

Re: Tamjets Struts

Mine is 1500kv, Jetfan 80, 10 cells. But I will try it on 12 cells, same setup.
I lost the nose gear door in flight so I am installing another one now.
185 MPH was out of a dive. I will check the level speed once that door is fixed.
On that 185MPH pass the sound was incredible. You couldn't detect the slightest whine: It was pure turbine sound. Incredible.
Did you find some struts?

Re: Tamjets Struts

So small and so fast!
I have to find a generous soul to video mine. Won't be for a few days as it is very windy here now.
Do you have to straighten your gear often? The wheel wells are really too small and not easy to change.
