What's with the T600?

May have to forgive me. Very early and my "CAFFEINE LOW" light is still on.

After nearly a decade hiatus hoping to return to a couple larger heli projects that have been put aside to focus on scale fixed wing. I have a virtually new and unflown T-600CF and a partially complete K-Frame version. Have not decided yet which will be fitted into the Funkey A-109 fuse.

My problem is trying to find compatible spares, especially main gears and belt drive tail stuff, (was hoping to maintain identical drive systems to simplify spares and rigging). In the past there was quite the list and usually could find lots for sale on different ad sites.

This no longer seems the case. Is Align dropping off the radar? Understand some bits are different, such as with the PRO and shaft drive tail, but other than that trying to figure this out without grabbing a bunch of stuff that doesn't fit. How can you tell what bits fit what airframes? Since also had a nitro ERGO 46 found some bits were identical, such as boom and main shaft. Has anyone gone that route?

ps. Want to stay with belt drive tail for now. Familiar and comfortable with that rig.
I know there's money in aviation........I put it there!

Re: What's with the T600?

Welcome to planned obsolescence. There are many parts that will still be found like the gearing IF you are using the 170T main gear. Those can be found, new and improved, but I have found only one retailer that carries them regularly. That is FarFast.ca. You can switch easily to the Mod. 1.0 gear but that will necessitate that you change the one way bearing setup and the autorotation gear. Those are also still available in the older Mod. 0.6 but be warned that you will not be able to change up to the Mod. 0.8 gear as there wasn't an accompanying belt drive gear that I was aware of. It will be a learning curve the first time you need to replace a stripped gear but you had better look for the tail belt drive gear and have a few of them in stock, H60034 or H60078. Welcome back.
